Still seeking death & burial information of Caroline Mears

‭Hello again,

‭I am still seeking the death date, obituary, and burial location of Caroline (Averill) Balcomb Mears (Mrs. E. C. Mears), a pauper whose last known residence was Maquoketa.

It appears that she died between January 7 and 23, 1879, but her name is not in any Jackson County poor farm records. There is a slight chance that she died in Iowa City.

‭If anyone ever finds information regarding Caroline’s death and burial (or the burial of her husband, E. C. Mears, who died November 2, 1878), I would appreciate knowing it.
