Death Records - Iowa

My information is that MILTON COTTON is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen, Jackson County. The date of death is 1894.
Iowa is a complete mystery to me. Can anyone tell me the best, quickest way of obtaining a death certificate for the above person?
Sorry I do not have any further or more complete information. The best information would be a death certificate. If obituaries are available for the time period, that would be fine.
