A couple of lengthy articles on the cyclone appear in the Jackson Sentinel from Maquoketa, Iowa, in the Thursday, May 26, 1898 issue. One short paragraph mentions your people. The date of the storm was Thursday, May 19.

Charles Flory, wife and three young children, who lived on the Bush place, were killed outright and the bodies were brought into town for burial.
