Jewell Man Found Dead
Charles Glaman, 47, former mayor of Jewell for two terms and serving his second term as a member of the school board, was found dead in bed by the family at his home Thursday morning.
Funeral services were held on Monday.
Mr. Glaman had apparently been in his usual good health and on Wednesday had acted as pallbearer at the funeral of Ira Egland.
He is survived by his wife and three children all at home; his father, two brothers, Martin and Dave, both of Jewell, Mrs. Phoebe Blair of Webster City and Mrs. Cora Wilson of New Orleans are half sister, and Sam Glaman of Fort Dodge is a half brother.
Mr. Glaman was in the coal, ice and grain business at Jewell.
