Unwed mother birth 8/24/1947

I was born with a surname of Evers. My mother was unwed and delivered me at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, by Dr. Johnston. THe courts approved my adoption as a HAckett, but I was looking for any other records prior to the legal adoption which might support my mother's surname. I am aware that birth records of adopted children will show the adoptive parents as the biological parents, and I have those documents.
