I located Lura in the Ohio Death Index and an obituary in Peoria, Illinois for you.

Lura Loretta (Morrall) Smith was born on March 18, 1912 in Mexico, Audrain, Missouri and died in Canton, Stark, Ohio on April 23, 1998. Her last known address was 1895 Timberlane St. NE, North Canton, Ohio.

Obituary:

PEORIA -- Lura Loretta Smith, 86, of Canton, Ohio, formerly of Peoria, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, at Mercy Medical Hospital in Canton. Born March 18, 1912, in Mexico, Mo., to Claude and Vinita Lambert Morrall, she married John Hecker Smith. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Jane) Crowley of Peoria and Susan Smith of North Canton, Ohio; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was an instructor in china painting and was active in the China Painting Guild in Peoria. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton. The Cremation Society of Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
