Funeral services for Karen K. Brophy, 51, rural Solon, were held at Hope Lutheran church, Cedar Rapids, Jan. 9, 1990, with the Rev. David Young officiating. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers were David Daehn, Bill Norton, Eric Daehn, Rodney Daehn, Dwight West and Don Wilson.

Mrs. Brophy died at her home Jan. 6 following a long illness.

The daughter of Herman and Lois Daehn, she was born Jan. 2, 1939 in Massillon. She married Jerome Brophy in Lowden May 1, 1960. She worked in the office of TLS Co. from 1975 to 1983 and at Cambridge Tempositions for 3 years. She was a member of Hope Lutheran church.

She is survived by her husband; 2 sons, Craig and Brett, Cedar Rapids; her parents, Herman and Lois Daehn, Wheatland; a sister, Rhea West, Maysville and a grandchild.
