Thanks. From what I've checked, I'm sure this was the person I was looking for. He entered service as a Lt. and was released as a Capt. I'd assumed he was a unit surgeon, but he may not have served in that capacity. His daughter was my paternal grandfather's second wife. Their daughter, Cyrilla, died an infant, and the wife then committed suicide. All are buried in the Albia Oakview cemetery. My dad and uncle, who were WW1 soldiers, were sons of my grandfather's 1st marriage. Dick Sloan
