Funeral rites for Henry M. Rodas were held at the Witt funeral chapel at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 27. The Rev. Paul Kitterer of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, Elkader, officiated. Burial was in the Union cemetery at Littleport.

Mr. Rodas died at his farm home near Littleport, Monday, March 24, 1952. He had suffered a light stroke about a year ago but was able to be about until a short time before his death. He had reached the age of 82 years, 7 months and 2 days.

Henry Martin Rodas was born August 22, 1869, in Clayton county, Iowa, the son of John and Lena Sonboldt Rodas.

Mr. Rodas spent his entire life in Clayton county and lived on the farm on which he died for the greater share of his married life. On April 05, 1916, at LaCrosse, Wis. he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Behling. One son, Henry J. of Edgewood, was born to this union.

He is survived by his wife and son Henry, also three brothers, John, August and Fred, all of Elkader, Iowa.

Pallbearers were: J. P. Zapf, R. E. Liddy, Berdett Burgen, Vallie Hilderbrandt and Oscar Meese.
