Mrs. Edward (Kathryn) Kruse died March 19, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leo Weber in Dubuque. She was born in Guttenberg March 30, 1874, daughter of Bernard and Adelaide Eilers.

Oct. 24, 1900 she was married to Edward Kruse in St. Mary's church in Guttenberg.

Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Mrs. A. F. Hoffman and Mrs. Leo Weber of Dubuque; Mrs. Darrell Hubbard of North Hollywood, Calif.; and Mrs. Fred Shaffer, Independence, two sons, Cyril and Eug___ Kruse of Dubuque; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Chris Frommelt and Mrs. Anna Harter, Guttenberg; Miss Margaret Eilers, Dubuque; Henry Eilers, Ga_on, Ohio; Pete Eilers, Garnavillo, and Otto Eilers, Sioux City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers.

Services were held at 9:30 from St. Columkille's church with the Rev. H. N. Dunkel officiating.

Interment was in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Dubuque.
