At the Congregational Christian church, Elkader, Jan. 13, Miss Jeanne Marcsisak of Elkader became the bride of John Henry Edwards, A.E.A.N., of San Diego, Calif. The Rev. Paul Kitterer of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, Elkader, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Marcsisak, Elkader, and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Edwards, Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Raymond Syverson, cousin of the groom, was matron of honor, Miss Donna Marcsisak served her sister as maid of honor. Robert Frye was best man. Steve Marcsisak, Kenneth Miller, and Robert Hale of San Diego, Calif., were ushers. Mrs. Anna Trimble, maternal grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Anna Marcsisak, paternal grandmother, were present at the ceremony.
At the reception held in Friendship Hall, presiding at the table were the Misses Anne Hoover, cousin of the groom, and Bonnie Entwisle. Miss Sue Jensen, also a cousin of the groom, cut the cake.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Edwards are graduates of the Elkader high school. Mrs. Edwards attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls and has since been employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. Her husband, following his graduation, was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Washington, D.C., until he entered the service.
Following their return from a two weeks wedding trip to Chicago, Mrs. Edwards will continue her duties with the telephone Co., and Mr. Edwards will return to his duties with the Navy at San Diego. Mrs. Edwards will join her husband in San Diego in March.
