Hoover - Bredfield marriage - 1955

St. Joseph's Catholic church was the setting for the wedding of Glenne Bredfield, Elkader, daughter of Mrs. Lois Bredfield of Brawley, Calif., and John M. Hoover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hoover, all of Elkader, Dec. 28. The Rev. Luke Donlon of Monona, a great uncle of the groom, officiated. Evelyn Martin, Brawley, Calif., niece of the bride, was maid of honor. Serving as best man was Robert Hoover of Des Moines, brother of the groom.

Mr. and Mrs. Hoover will be at home on the Joe Hoover farm.

Mrs. Hoover was employed at the Interstate Power company, Elkader, for five years and the past year has been employed in Cedar Rapids. Mr. Hoover is a graduate of S.U.I., and has been farming with his father.
