The Norway Lutheran church of St. Olaf was the scene of the wedding, Nov. 12, of Miss MarLean Embretson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walde Embretson, and Carl Zearley, son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Zearley of Garber. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated. Matron of honor was Mrs. James Zearley, sister-in-law of the bride, and Elaine Anderson, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. Linda Reed, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Karen Skarsaug and Linda Olson, cousins of the bride, lighted the candles. James Zearley, brother of the groom, was best man, and Waldo Embretson, brother of the bride, was groomsman.
A reception for 200 people was held in the church parlors, at which Mrs. Curtis Engelhardt, cousin of the bride, served the wedding cake, and Mrs. Harlan Henkes, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Lavern Schroeder, aunt of the groom, poured. Mrs. Woody Reed and Mrs. Wm. Straus served the ice cream. Those waiting on the table were Mavis Peterson and Myrna Shroeder. Miss Phyllis Engelhardt was in charge of the guest book.
