VOLGA: Feb. 11, at Sacred Heart church, Miss Jo Ann Whittle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Whittle of Volga, became the bride of Raymond Sergott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sergott of Garden City, Mich. The pastor, the Rev. Francis Bradshaw officiated. Patrick Whittle, the bride's brother, and Bernard Newton served as acolytes at the nuptial mass. Attendants were Miss Catherine Whittle, Cedar Rapids, and Lawrence Whittle, Volga, sister and brother of the bride.
The bride attended the Oelwein high school for three years and St. Joseph's Academy in Dubuque one year. She has been employed as a psychyatric aide in the Rochester State hospital at Rochester, Minn. The groom is a graduate of the class of 1946 from the Dearborn, Mich., high school. He returned from overseas service in November 1952. At present, he is employed as a tool maker at the Kaiser-Frazer Aircraft Corp., in Detroit.
The couple will reside at Garden City following a wedding trip.
