Possehl - Drahn marriage - 1953

Elaine Drahn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Drahn of Monona, became the bride of William O. Possehl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Possehl of Elkader, Feb. 08, in the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church at Monona. The Rev. R. C. Schlueter officiated. Mrs. Donald Hubacher served as matron of honor, and Karen Schupbach, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Rollin Possehl, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Keith Drahn, brother of the bride, and Floyd Possehl, brother of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of the Monona high school and has been employed in the Bell Telephone office in Elkader, where she will continue her work. The groom is a graduate of the Elkader high school and is in the U.S. Navy. After a short wedding trip the groom will report to Tongue Point, Astoria, Oregon, for further orders.
