Former Resident C. H. Short Dies

Mrs. U. M. Bell of Murray handed us a clipping from the Gentry, Ark., newspaper telling of the recent death of Charles Harvey Short, 88, husband of her niece, and a former Clarke county resident.

Short was the son of W. D. and Mary Short, who for many years were custodians of the county home. He was married in Osceola to Miss Eva Robinson the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Robinson, pioneer farmers, both deceased.

Charles and Eva Short made their home north of Osceola for many years, then moved to Kansas and later to Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife and two nieces of Cullison, Kans. Burial was in the Gentry cemetery.
