Any information known on my great grandfather Gabriel Ziegler. He was born in Germany Feb 11, 1873 and immigrated to the US in 1889 arriving in NY by ship. He eventually moved to the Geneseo Township in Cerro Gordo County (Rockwell, IA) where he lived for many years with his family. Wife Martha (Klewin) and children Paul, Hazel, Nora, Dora, Elsa, and Rosina. My G Grandfather Gabriel was a harnessmaker and was self-employed in that trade having his own shop. According to census records I find him in Rockwell IA over the years (approximated) 1900 or so to 1930. He may have lived there longer but those are the only years I can prove by census. Oral family history is that he met his wife Martha in Rockwell IA but I cannot find marriage documented as of yet. Any information would be much appreciated.
