Funeral services for Desmond Lambert Lynch, 60, Cedar Rapids, former Tipton resident, were held at St. Patrick's church, Cedar Rapids, Dec. 12 with the Rev. John Hemann officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery with military services by VFW Post 788.
Mr. Lynch died at Mercy Medical center, Cedar Rapids, Dec. 10.
Born in West Branch Feb. 17, 1929, he graduated from Tipton high school in 1947 and from Cedar Rapids Business college. He married Dorothy Drahos in Cedar Rapids April 25, 1953.
Mr. Lynch worked most of his life for the Belden-Hill company and retired after working for the Cedar Rapids Children's Home.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, John and Brian, Cedar Rapids; 2 daughters, Colleen DeMello, Tulsa, Okla. and Sheila, Dallas, Texas; 3 sisters, Vera Lynch and Lucille Edgerton, West Branch and Maxine McCaulley, Cedar Rapids.
