A memorial service for Roy Frauenholz, 87, former West Branch resident, will be held at a later date. His body has been cremated. The Barker Funeral home, West Branch, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Frauenholz died at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home, Wellman, Sept. 24. He was a resident of 3042 Muscatine Ave., Muscatine.

The son of Joe and Ida Dunner Frauenholz, he was born at Iowa City May 14, 1900. He graduated with the class of 1918 from West Branch high school. He was married to Verna Maxson at Cedar Rapids Feb. 12, 1927.

He was employed as an engineer for Great Lakes Pipe Line, retiring at Osceola in 1964. He was a member of the West Branch United Methodist church and a member and past master of the Wapsinonoc Lodge 381, AF&AM.

He is survived by a son, Richard, Iowa City, and a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Velma Joyce) Rabedeaux, Newton; a sister, Mrs. Henrietta Jones, Iowa City; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
