Mass of Christian burial for James Patrick Casey, 81, Griswold, was Tuesday morning at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Griswold , with Pastor LaVerne Wingert celebrating. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery, Griswold, with Wagler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He died Sunday at his home in the Arlington Hotel, Griswold.

Born March 31, 1904, in Atlantic, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Casey. He married Doris Pauline Silk in Red Oak, March 4, 1943 and had lived in Grant for about 15 years before moving to Griswold in 1943.

He had farmed southwest of Griswold and had moved to town for the winter.

He was a member of Pur Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Gerald Casey of Carter Lake and David Casey of Griswold, two daughters, Karen Rudd of Drakesville and Mary Casey of Omaha, seven grandchildren, five great grand-children, two brothers, Leo Casey of Dunlap and Paul Casey of Atlantic, two sisters, Agnes Foster of Dunlap and Louise Ihnen of Cumberland.
