ADNAH DAVID9 BULLOCK (WAYNE8, SIMEON7, HEZEKIAH6, BENJAMIN5, SETH4, SAMUEL3, RICHARD2, HENRY1) was born 10 Apr 1846 in New York, and died 14 Aug 1942 in Atlantic, Iowa. He married ELLA L. FULLER 16 Jan 1872 in Waukee, Iowa, daughter of TIMOTHY FULLER and ALICE R.. She was born 04 Jun 1854 in Herkimer County, New York, and died Aft. 1925.

Bullock Genealogy 1904:

Adnah David Bullock went to live with his grandfather in 1859. He enlisted for Civil War service Sept. 2, ’64 and discharged June 28, 1865 and was with his brother, Miles. They were stationed at Chambersburg, Pa.

After the war,he returned to Sherburne, N.Y. and made it his home with his aunt Diadama till he moved to Waukee, Iowa in 1869 and started in business for himself.

He married Ella L. Fuller at Waukee, Iowa, Jan. 16, 1872. She was the daughter to Y.D. Fuller and born at Herkimer Co., N.Y. June 11, 1854.

In 1873 he moved to Rippey and opened up business there of merchandising, moving to Jefferson in 1888 then to Colfax in 1901, to Wiota 1892 and in Anita in 1898, all in Iowa, and continuing in each place in the same business.

His strict honesty and sterling qualities have built up a good business and he has a fine residence and property there. After Mrs. Bullock died, Adnah moved to Atlantic with his son and they purchased a department store.

The Bullocks have one son, Wayne, born at Rippey Jan. 11, 1878, who is in the store with his father. He married June 5, 1901 at Anita, Iowa, to Lula W. Aldrich, daughter of O.D. Aldrich. She was born Nov. 6, 1880. They have built a house in his father’s yard and next to him. They have one son born at Anita, March 16, 1901, Wallace Orville. (they also had a son Max Adnah born in 1903.)Adnah died 14 AUG 1942.
