Hi,
I can tell you a little about the family. Charles E. Lydens had a photography studio in Manning.
I first found him in the 1900 Federal Census as living in Manning, Warren Twp., Carroll Co.
Chas. E. Lyden was b. Feb 1869, aged 31 yrs, married 8 yrs, he and parents born in Sweden. He came to the US in 1889, had been living in the US for 11 yrs, was naturalized, occupation Photographer.
Josie wife, b. Feb 1874, aged 26 yrs, she had 3 children with all still living, she & parents born in KY
Wanda dau b. Mar 1893, aged 7 yrs, b. IA
Bessie dau b. Apr 1894, aged 6 yrs, b. IA
Carlbonito b. Apr 1896 b. IA, aged 4 yrs, b. IA
1910 Federal Census, the family is still in Manning.
Charles is noted as Divorced and owns a Photographic Galleris
His children, living with him are: Wanda 16 yrs, Besse B, 15 yrs, Carl B. 14 yrs and Fancis V., 9 yrs.
In the 1940 Census Bonito is living with his father Charles. They work in their own Photography Studio.
According to Find A Grave many of this Lyden family is buried in Manning Cemetery. Charles E. Lyden died in 1952. Bonito died in 1966.
