Karen L. Morris, 53, of Stanley, Iowa, died suddenly Thursday, January 2, 2025, at her home in Stanley.
Services will be at a later date in Illinois.
Karen Lynn Springinsguth was born on July 13, 1971, in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Ronald Gary and Danita Berenice (Hopper) Springinsguth. She graduated Central Highschool in Burlington, IL in the class of 1989.
On June 29, 1991, she was united in marriage to William Morris at Hoffman Estates, IL. To this union two children were born. They later divorced. She grew to be a creative and compassionate woman. Karen was a dedicated and respected worker, working tirelessly to serve her community.
Karen had a deep affinity for animals of all shapes and sizes, reflecting her compassionate soul. She was indeed a creative spirit, her love for crafting mirrored her innovative mind. An avid game player, Karen's competitive spirit was always balanced by her sense of fun. A devoted supporter of the Green Bay Packers, she never missed a chance to cheer for her team. She also had a love for a good crime show her mind always intrigued by the unfolding mysteries.
Karen was a beloved daughter, a caring sister, a devoted mother, and aunt. She was survived by her son Dakota (Nathalie) Morris of Illinois, her daughter Ashley Morris of Illinois, Mother Danita Stoner of Stanley, brother John Aves, uncle Wayne's aunt Deborah and family, Heather Aves, and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
