The two-weeks' old infant of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Mellinger was buried Sunday. Rev. Miller of the Free Methodist church of Dunkerton spoke the words of comfort to the sorrowing parents.

Mrs. B. A. Mellinger died at her home in Lester township Thursday afternoon after an illness of several weeks. The funeral was held Saturday in Barclay cemetery. She is buried by her husband and a son.

Mrs. Bert Mellinger, formerly Miss Lena Lebenow, died Thursday, Dec. 8th, after an illness of about three months. She leaves a husband and one child, a boy of about two years, who is now being cared for by Mr. Mellinger's aunt, Mrs. H. Shott. Mrs. Mellinger was about thirty-one years old, most of which time was spent in this township (Lester). She has made many friends here who will lament her early death. We extend our sympathy to all sorrowing relatives.
