DIED - at his home in Brownsville, Minn., on Sunday morning, April 14th, at half-past seven, of Consumption, Chas. F.D. Mundt, aged 22 years, 3 mos. and 27 days.

The deceased was well-known in this city, having been for over a year and a half a trusty employee in the store of Kerndt Bros., and the tidings of his death was received with general regret by his many friends here, for Charley was a steady, upright and honorable young man.

His death, though seemingly sudden to many, was not wholly unexpected, for during the past year his malady had so increased that it was evident Death had marked him for his own.

On Saturday last a telegram called his brother John (a clerk at Kerndt Bros.) to his bedside, which was reached about an hour before dissolution took place. The sufferer knew that he was dying, but wanted to live until his brother arrived. He counted the hours, and when the time arrived when he thought his brother should be there, he remarked that he would have to die without seeing him. Just then the packet whistled and he said, "There he comes!" and rallied for about an hour and a half, when he calmly dropped off into his last long sleep. He conversed with his brother, told him he was dying, and muttered just before departing, "Now, God, I am ready."

He was born in Hjoerring, Denmark.
