STUART, IA. - Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Congregational Church for M. Wanita Christensen, 66, of Stuart who died of cancer Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in De Moines. Burial will be in South Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Christensen, a lifelong Stuart resident, formerly was an X-ray technician for 17 years and had been a member of the Congregational Church.

She is survived by her husband, Verle; a son, Theodore of Indianola; six daughters, Sandra Smeltzer of Dexter, Beverly Campbell of Stuart, Cheryl Powell of Meno, Pamela Osler of Redfield, Janet Cooper of Van Meter and Janice Sanger of Des Moines; her mother, Mildred Coldiron of Stuart; two brothers, Wendell Owens of Austin, Minn., and Joe Coldiron of Chicago; three sisters, Pat Connelly of Stuart and Ellen Huff and Sue Hansen, both of Greeley, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 9 am. today at Link Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa 22 Aug 1991.
