Joins the WAVES In Department of Dental Hygiene
Mary A. Wright, dental hygienist, in the office of Dr. C.S. Ranck for the last two years, has left for Cedar Falls where she has been assigned to duty in the dental hygiene department of the WAVES, in the branch of the service she enlisted recently in Des Moines.
Miss Wright came here from Des Moines two years ago to become associated with Dr. Ranck. She is a graduate of the Eastman Dental Dispensary, Rochester, Minn.
While in Davenport, she resides at 630 Colorado, and was a member of St Paul's Catholic Church.

Twenty Des Moines women were graduated Saturday from the Navy’s general indoctrination school for WAVES at Iowa State Teachers college, Cedar Falls, Ia.
Some of the graduates will be sent to one of the 13 schools in the nation now being used by the WAVES for advanced training. Others may be immediately assigned to active duty where qualified for such service.

First Lt. Thomas X. Wright, navigator of a Liberator bomber in England, and his sister, Mary A. Wright, pharmacists mate, second calls, in the WAVES, are home of leave together. They are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Wright, 1402 Ninth st. Mary is stationed at San Diego, Cal They had not seen each other in more than two years.

Mary Aloyse Wright Moss was born June 27, 1920 to Arthur Shaw and Marie Catherine McIlhon Wright. She died Jan. 26, 2006 and is buried in National Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ. She was married to John Elwood Moss. John was born Nov. 14, 1919 to Frank B. and Mary E. Grant Moss. He died Sept. 7, 1998 and is buried in National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ. Sgt. Moss served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
