Dorothy Throop to Report May 9 for Training in WAC
Dorothy Throop, who was sworn into the Women's Army Corps at Des Moines Tuesday, is home until May 9, when she reports at Fort Des Moines for six weeks of basic training.
Under the Purple Heart program, Miss Throop is to be a medical technician. Following her basic training, she will be sent to a hospital for schooling in her line of work.
Miss Throop, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Throop, is a graduate of the St. Angela academy. She has been employed Light's Apparel shop.

Pvt. Dorothy Throop of the WAC, who had previously been at William Beaumont General hospital, El Paso, Tex., is now at Lowrie Field, Denver, where she may be addressed: Pvt. Dorothy Throop, A- 713833, Sec. D, Lowrie Field, Denver, Colo. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Throop.

Dorothy Throop Home After Getting Her Discharge from WAC
Dorothy Throop, who was discharged from the WAC at Fort Sam Houston, Tex., Wednesday, returned home Sunday morning.
Sgt. Throop, who had been in the service 17 months, had been stationed in San Antonio, Tex., prior to her release, She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Throop.
