Manchester, Ia. -- Miss Dorothy Thibadeau, employee of the Coffee cafe here, has just celebrated her twentieth birthday by joining the Waves. She expects her call for active duty for basic training at Hunter college in the Bronx, N.Y., Sept. 15. Completing that training, she will be transferred to a navy office or schooled in special training in a college taken over by the navy for that purpose. Miss Thibadeau, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Thibadeau, graduated from Lamont High school in June 1942.
