IN HAWAII -- Two Waves from Iowa have reported for duty in Hawaii. They are Yeoman Second Class Mary Jane Cox (left), Davenport, and Storekeepers Third Class Lois Betty Smith, Avery. Storekeeper Smith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Smith, Avery. After receiving a commercial certificate from Albia high school, she was employed by Iowa Ordnance Plant, Burlington. She joined the WAVES in September, 1943, and has been on duty at Naval Air Station, Ottumwa, Ia. Yeoman Cox is the daughter of Willard W. Stephen, 517 Main street, Davenport.
