Ensign Marian Shaulis, who is the daughter of Mrs. Catherine Shaulis, 608 West Eleventh street, and who has been a navy nurse since January , 1942, is now stationed at the naval base hospital, San Diego, Cal., awaiting assignment to duty overseas. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa nursing school and was employed at th University hospital, Iowa City, before she entered the service. She is a graduate of West High school.

Navy Nurse Is Malaria Victim
Lt. (j.g.) Marian Shaulis, navy nurse, is ow at the U.S. naval hospital, Long Beach, Cal., after a year of service in Australia and New Guinea. She returned to the United States Nov. 26, after being stricken with malaria aboard the ship. The daughter of Mrs. Catherine Shaulis, 608 West 11th street, and a West high and University of Iowa graduate, she has been in service three years.
