Two D.M. WAVES On Duty in Capital
Two Des Moines WAVES now are on duty with the navy in Washington, D.C, at the hydrographic office. They are Geneva G. Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.J. Bell, 2327 E. Twelfth st., and Evelyn A. Secrist, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Gaudineer, route 6.
They are among several thousand women who have been assigned to Washington to serve as direct replacements for navy men, releasing them to fight at sea with the fleet. They are quartered in special barracks.
