IN MARINES -- Miss Edith Mae Scott, daughter of Henry J. Scott, R.R. No. 2, left Sunday for Hunter college, New York, to begin training as a recruit in the U.S. marine women reserves. Miss Scott is a graduate of the 1939 class from the Lost Nation, Ia., high school. She later attended college at Iowa State Teacher's college, Cedar Falls, Ia. Until the present she has been employed by the Chicago Ordnance district, Quad-cities office, Davenport, Ia. The third member of the family to enter the service, one sister, Ruth, in the SPARS, now stationed at a naval base in Boston, Mass., and one brother, Kenneth, in navigation training school at Hondo, Texas.
