Waterloo Girl Becomes Army Nurse
Alice Marie Scheinost, 21, Waterloo, has been appointed second lieutenant in the army nurse corps and reported to Camp McCoy, Wis., for active duty, it was revealed Friday by her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Duggan, 122 Kingbard avenue, with whom she formerly made her home
Lieutenant Scheinost attended the University of Illinois St. Francis Xavier college and was graduate from the Mercy hospital school of nursing, Chicago, June 1, 1944. Since her graduation she has held the position of assistant surgical supervisor at Mercy hospital.
Her sister, Joann, is in cadet nurse training at Mercy hospital, Chicago.
