Irene Reicks to Report for Duty In Marine Corps
Miss Irene M. Reicks, who has joined the Marine Corps Women's Reserve, has received order to report for active duty at Hunter College, New York City, Monday, May 3. She was sworn in at Des Moines March 11.
Miss Reicks who has spent the last two weeks here with her mother, Mrs. Anna Reicks, leaves Sunday for Sioux City, where she expects to entrain for New York City.
She is a graduate of the St. Angela academy here and has attended Tri-State Business College in Sioux City. She has been employed as office manager for the Russell-Miller Milling Company at Sioux City.

S/Sgt Irene Reicks Feted While Home on Leave From Carolina
S/Sgt Irene Reicks, MCWR, of Cherry Point, N.C., who is spending part of a 14-day leave with her mother, Mrs. Anna Reicks, was feted at a family picnic in Graham park yesterday noon.
Miss Riecks' birthday, which occurs tomorrow, was celebrated at the same time, and she was presented with a gift from the group. A large birthday cake had been made by her mother.

Miss Irene Reicks Becomes Bride of Clarence Brenny In Church Service Today

SS Peter and Paul's church was the setting this morning of the marriage of Miss Irene Reicks, daughter of Mrs. Anna Reicks, 121 North Maple street, to Clarence Brenny, pharmacist's mate, first class, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs Charles Brenny of Holdingford, Minn. The Rev. Father Lambert Schenkelberg, who read the double ring service at 8:30 also celebrated the nuptial high mass.
The bride was given in marriage by her eldest brother, Anton Reicks of Early. Miss Bernice Niehaus, niece of the bride, was her maid of honor and Miss Connie Wietrak of Chicago, cousin of the bridegroom was the bridesmaid.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Roy Brenny, pharmacist's mate, third class, USNR.

The bride was graduated from SS Peter and Paul's school and St. Angela academy. She was discharged from the Marine Corps Women's Reserve last September after 28 months service, and is now a civil service worker at the Marine Corps air station, Cherry Point, N.C.
Mr. Brenny is a graduate of Holdingford high school, Holdingford, Minn. He is stationed as a navy corps man with the Fleet Marine Force at Cherry Point, N.C.
