Mrs. Anna Peiffer is 77 but her fingers still are nimble and she proudly shows some of her needlework to her husband, John, 82, two of their 40 grandchildren and a daughter, home of leave. The grandsons are Wilfred Weber (left), shipfitter, first class, and Norbert Weber, chief petty officer, who serve on the same battleship in the south Pacific, and daughter, Lieut. Edith Peiffer, an army nurse. Mr. and Mrs. Peiffer are among the nine Harper couples married more than 50 years.
