Beulah W. Osborne Advance in Rank

Ensign Beulah Osborne, of the navy nurse corps, has been advance to the rank of lieutenant (j.g.). Lt. Osborne, daughter of William F. Osborne, has been stationed at San Diego the past year. Previous to that time, she was at Mare Island for eight months.

Beulah Osborne Discharge From Navy Nurse Corps

Lieutenant Beulah W. Osborne, nurse corps, U.S.N.R., was discharged at the United States Naval personnel separation center, U.S. Naval Barracks, Washington, D.C., May 17, 1946, according to a news dispatch from Washington.

Lt. Osborne, daughter of W.F. Osborne of Carroll, reported for active duty June 30, 1943. She had been stationed at Mare Island and San Diego, Calif., before being sent to last summer to Washington, D.C., for duty at the Columbia hospital, U.S. Naval Dispensary.

Beulah Winifred Osborne McMinimee was born June 20, 1915 to William F. and Margaret Kalki Osborne. She died Apr. 14, 2006 and is buried in Carroll City Cemetery, Carroll, IA.

Beulah served in World War II with the U.S. Navy in Mare Island, San Diego and Washington, D.C. She was married to Waldo Forrest McMinimee.
