Morrison - Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mulder have received word from their daughter, Lt. Katherine Mulder, U.S. army nurse, stating that she has been transferred to France after 20 months service in England. Lieutenant Mulder joined the army nurse corps in January, 1943, and left for overseas in October, 1943. She spent one furlough sightseeing in Scotland.

Katherine G. Mulder was born in 1921 to Carl W. and Bernice M. Buffington Mulder. She died in 1959 and is buried in Washington Township Cemetery, Morrison, IA.
Kathryn served in World War II with the U.S. Army 120th Station Hospital and 56th General Hospital.
