WSUI to Interview Ensign Jean Mocha
Ensign Jean K. Mocha of Iowa City, will be interviewed over WSUI at 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, as guest in the program "From Our Boys in Service." Ensign Mocha is spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. Mocha, 322 North Van Buren street, after completing her officers training with the WAVES in Northampton, Mass., and serving temporarily at the Navy Yard in New York. Ensign Mocha graduated from the University of Iowa's college of commerce in December, 1943 and joined the WAVES in Chicago in April 1944. She will go to Radcliffe in Cambridge, Mass., on August 24 to begin special training in the navy supply course school. The interview will be conducted over WSUI by Virginia Jackson.

Mr. and Mrs. George E. Mocha, 322 North Van Buren street, announced the engagement of their daughter Lieut. (j.g.) Jean Mocha to Lieut. (j.g.) Milton Banks, USN.
Lieutenant Mocha is at present sales officer at the naval gun factory in Washington, D.C. Lieutenant Banks is the engineering officer in the same factory.
The Iowa City girl was graduated from the University of Iowa in 1943 and was commissioned in the WAVES in June, 1944.
Lieutenant Banks attend college in North Carolina prior to joining the navy in 1933 and has had continuous sea duty since that time. He participated in the invasions of Leyte, Linguyan gulf and Okinawa.He was awarded the bronze star in the last-named action.
