Miss Merrick Called Into WAVE Ranks
Bobette E. Merrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert R. Merrick, 2319 Forty-fifth st., has been called to active duty with the WAVES and is to report Friday at Cedar Falls, Ia., for indoctrination.
She is a graduate of Roosevelt High school, attended business college and has been employed for two years at the Equitable Life Insurance company of Iowa office here.

Back on Campus After War Service
Iowa City, IA -- Young women who have been serving their nation at war are beginning to renew thier education work at the State University of Iowa following discharge from the service.

Postwar Home
Bobette Merrick, 22, a graduate of Roosevelt High school in Des Moines, worked for the Equitable Life Insurance Company of Iowa two years before entering the WAVES in October 1942. Discharged May 4, 1944, she enrolled last month in a three-year radio dramatics course.
