Two Sioux Cityans Given Promotions
Two Sioux Cityans were among the eight Iowans to recently received promotions, the war department announced Saturday.
Promoted from the rank of second lieutenant to first lieutenant were Clarence G. Pechacek and Louise M. Lang.
Lieut. Pechacek, son of Frank J. Pechacek, 4620 Country Club Boulevard is stationed at Greensboro, N.C.
Lieut. Lang is a member of the army nurse corps.

Louise Margaret Lane was born Apr. 27, 1918 to Peter and Margaret R. Horvath Lang. She died Nov. 12, 1998 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
