Margaret Lola Kooser Mizelle was born Mar. 5, 1917 to Edward T. and Matilda Belle “Belle” McGibbon Kooser. She died May 21, 1967 and is buried in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.
Lt. Kooser served in World War II with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and spent 17 months in Australia and New Guinea with the 13th General Hospital. She was awarded the Southwest Pacific and Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with one battle star.
