WAVE of the Day
Gladys Lucille Kleckner, 1115 1/2 West Third street, Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kleckner, Stockton, has enlisted in the WAVES and is awaiting order to report to Hunter college, New York City, where she will take her navy "boot" training.
She attended Stockton high school, where she was active in basketball, glee club, G.A.A. and the senior play. At the present time she is employed as a piece marker at the International Harvester Co.
She has one brother, Berl Kleckner, in the army, now stationed in England.
