Mary E. Kinney

 

 

TO TAKE WAC TESTS -- Three Davenport young women left last night for Des Moines to take their physical examination for entrance in to the WAACS. If they are successful, they will return to Davenport to await call into service which usually follows in about three weeks. The young women leaving are shown left to right; Dorothy Henry, 1328 West Lombard street, nurses aide at Mercy hospital; Miss Margaret Schroder, 121 West Eighth and Miss Mary E. Kinney, 1214 Bridge.

Miss Schroder has been employed at the F.W. Woolworth Co., and Miss Kinney at the International Harvester Co.

MARY KINNEY FINISHES SCHOOL

Aux. Mary E. Kinney, 1214 Bridge avenue, has completed training in the administrative school at the WAAC training center in Des Moines, Ia. She is awaiting assignment for noncombatant duty.

RECRUITER

Auxiliary Mary E. Kinney, 1016 East high street, Davenport, is now on recruiting duty with the Women's Army Auxiliary corps in the Sixth Service Command. She was transferred from the First WAAC Training Center, Des Moines, and reported to the commanding general at Chicago, for assignment to duty at a WAAC recruiting office.
