Edna M. LaFortune Hunter was born Feb. 23, 1923 to William A. and Lucille M. LaFortune. She was the step-daughter of Arthur W. Christenson. She died Jan. 17, 1961 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Maj. Hunter served with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in World War II. Maj. Hunter was married to Col. Joseph L. Hunter.
