Lorraine Eleanor Hucke Shepherd was born Oct. 15, 1920 to Henry Thomas and Elizabeth Freyermuth Hucke. She died Sept. 24, 2001 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine, IA.
Lorraine served with the U.S. Navy as a nurse in World War II. She was married to Ralph Lloyd “Rusty” Shepherd. Rusty served with the U.S. Army Air Corps flying B-29’s during World War II.
Lorraine was the twin of LeMoyne Elmer Hucke who was born Oct. 15, 1920 to Henry Thomas and Elizabeth Freyermuth Hucke. He died Dec. 5, 2020 and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine, IA. Sgt. Hucke served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
