Davenport Woman Is Accepted for Service in WAVES
Miss Hettie Harvey, 620 Perry street, successfully passed her physical examination and mental alertness tests for admission to the WAVES it was announced today, and she has been sworn into the service.
Before entering the service Miss Harvey was employed by the H.B. Green Transfer company.

Miss Hettie Harvey Leaves Tonight for Training in WAVES
Miss Hettie Harvey, 620 Perry street, Davenport, leaves tonight for Hunter college, the Bronx, N.Y., to start her basic training with the WAVES.
Miss Harvey, who has been in the employe of H.B. Green Stamp Co. on West Second street for the past several years, is the daughter of C.H. Harvey of Brighton, Ia.
She filed her application papers for enlistment several weeks ago and has been waiting orders to report. She hopes to be assigned to general office works when she has completed her training.
