Nurses who returned on the Queen Mary were Lt. Ruth Roman, Muscatine; Second Lt. Vera M. Peters, Spragueville; Lt. Lorraine Harberts, Grundy Center, and Lt. Rita M Niles, Remsen, all of Iowa.

Grundy Center -- First Lt. Lorraine Harberts, who is an army nurse, is spending a 30-day furlough her with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Harberts. Lieutenant Harberts entered the service in March , 1944, and was sent overseas in July, 1944. She returned to this country June 20 on the Queen Mary. Her brother, Tech. Sgt. Edgar W. Harberts, is in the Philippines.
