WAVE of the Day
Betty Green, yeoman, third class, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Green, formerly of Davenport, is now stationed with the WAVES in Ottumwa.
She enlisted in November, 1943, took her boot at Hunter college, New York City, and her advanced training at Iowa State Teachers college
In a letter written to a friend, she says " Joining the WAVES is the nicest thing that has ever happened to me and I wish all girls could have the same experience."
