Fern Josephine Goodwin Toney Leeper was born Feb. 7, 1920 to George W. and Fannie Jelinek Goodwin. She died Aug. 7, 2007 and is buried in Penn Center Cemetery, Penn Township, Madison County, IA.
Petty Officer Goodwin served with the U.S. Navy WAVES in World War II. She was married to Joseph “Joe" Toney and after his death married Claire Frank Leeper.
